World Intellectual Property Day 2016

Objectives:


1.      To promote a culture that respects intellectual property rights and supports creative society among young people and the general public.


2.      To promote an environment that encourages a creative and digital economy.


3.      To raise public awareness on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights.

16:00-17:00                 Booths of animation demonstration and Makerspace opened to the public


17:00-17:30                 Music performance, by Machima (Indy Rock)


17:30-17:45                 Opening ceremony by Consul General Michael Heath and prominent public  persons


17:45-18:15                 Panel discussion “How the IPR affects you?”


                                    Ajarn Sumeth Yodkaew, Faculty member, Animation Program, College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University and founder of Minimal   Music


                                    Mr. Cheepchanok Chernkwanma, IP Specialist, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Embassy Bangkok

Demonstration Booths:  Animation Exhibition booths from the College of Arts, Technology and Management, and Maker Space to inspire creativity within the audience.


 


Publicity:        1.Promote the event on social media using the #worldipday hashtag, live event updates and Twitter chats on the consulate and partners social media platform. 


                        2. Printed posters at public places.
